The Roma Pass is a 3-day ticket for the public transportation in Rome combined with free or discounted entrances at certain sites. No, these parts of the Colosseum require an additional ticket. The visit of the Underground and the 3rd tier is always guided by the Colosseum staff and you would be united with a large group, hence your tour would no longer be private. It takes a long time to visit these areas and we prefer to spend this time elsewhere at the Forum or the Emperors' Palace.

Our Vatican tour includes a visit to the Holy Grottoes. To visit the Pope's tombs in the basement of the Basilica there is a special “scavi” tour given by the church, not by us. It is a 90-minute tour and tickets are 13 Euros. The tour is limited to small groups and only about 250 visitors per day. Reservations must be made well in advance.
